Digital News - How does the Team communicate?

Well, seen as we are in a four we have to demonstrate ways that me and the other group talks to each other and set days and vlog and stuff. There are two methods that we use to talk to each other about the project and a video conference to help us get our point across and what not.

Firstly, we use facebook messenger, this allows all four of us to get in touch with each other quick. Most of  us have facebook on our phones so its a quick and efficient way of contacting each other.

The video conferencing software that we use is Google Hangouts. It's good because you can talk amongst each other with voice and video, as text can often be ambiguous. Also it has the feature to record and automatically archive to youtube, so we can use it on our blogs. \

Overall, there is no reason why we can't get hold of each other and we all do talk to each other very well, The hangouts help us with our blogas we can do a weekly blog to help helen distinguish what we are all doing.

Fiction Adaptation - Thoughts on starting and what topics will be covered

So glad to be back! Had so much time off its great to finally be doing something productive with my life. But I digress. I'm feeling this new piece of work, I've had several thoughts about what kind of thing I am looking for, but I think I have one that I feel passionate about, after reading the poems and finding out which ones sound the best to me, I have gone for ANTHEM FOR A DOOMED YOUTH. Something about the way it is written can be ambiguous and can mean anything, so I wanted to focus on the current events happening in the world, in regards to syria/isis/iraq. Not that I have the resources to focus on that. I want to focus on something a bit more closer to home. Now I know a couple of years ago a soldier was beheaded in woolwich, a terrifying incident but I don't want to focus on that.

More about fanaticism, how the bloke who beheaded someone was so deluded by a cult that he decided to commit atrocities. Now this is still straying far from what I want to achieve but its getting there. It's more of a case of a man is kidnapped (maybe in someones car boot) and he can hear the captors tap;king in arabic, perhaps referring to an event that they may carry out. This is a very loose description but you see where I am going. I have many friends who speak fluent arabic and would be able to translate some garble that can be thrown underneath the narration of the character. the character can reflect the title (doomed youth) as most people who are captured by militant muslims are normally killed in a sadistic way, I feel I can produce a short that can reflect this.

However, We do have to cover a case study for our Essay which basically ponders on the question if adaptations can be successful without the original media and if straying from the original media can affect the original fans of it. I will be covering the graphic novel The Walking Dead and it's counterpart on AMC of the same name. Below is an image that illustrates this point.
